How To Start a Blog

1. Think what you want to blog about

There are a lot of bloggers on the web already so if you want to attract readers, you need to establish your credibility. Don't just blog about anything. Pick a topic you are are passionate about. Something that you have lots of experience and really good with.

2. Decide how your blog will be hosted

When it comes to starting a blog, you need to decide whether you want to host the blog yourself, or use a free blogging service that will host your blog. If you are new or just starting to have interest in blogging business, I suggest you start with sites offering free blogging services like www.blogspot.com especially if you don't have enough knowledge on HTML or CSS.

Another option is to host your own blog using Wordpress free blog software, it offers much more flexibility and freedom to do what you want and you can get your own domain name. It cost about $30 per year.

3. Find a good domain name

Now that you already know what your blog's theme, it's time now to find a good domain name
for your blog. Think of a word or name related to your blogs theme or something that will have an appeal on people.

4. Start posting content on your blog

Now that you have a domain name, start posting good contents on you blog. It’s up to you how you will post your content. If you plan to post periodic updates in a more informative and open communication model with your audience, then you can create a blog to function as your site. You can always adjust the blog to function.
